Louisiana High School Basketball - Peabody tops Silsbee

Peabody Warhorses (Alexandria, LA) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Silsbee Tigers (Silsbee, TX), 59-44 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Peabody upgrades its record to 18-3 on the campaign. The Warhorses travel to Trinity (Louisville, KY) to play the Shamrocks in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 6. The Shamrocks come into the bout with a record of 11-3. Trinity won 55-38 in their recent non-league bout against St. Thomas More (Lafayette, LA)

Next up, the Tigers play the Jasper Bulldogs (Jasper, TX) in a 4A Region III District 19 bout, on Tuesday, January 9. Silsbee will attempt to upgrade on its 14-9 season record. The Bulldogs come into the bout with a 5-7 record after their 100-39 league loss to West Orange-Stark (Orange, TX).
