Illinois High School Basketball - Amboy winner over Freeport
January 6, 2024: Amboy, IL 61310 The Amboy Clippers (Amboy, IL) basketball felled the visiting Freeport Pretzels (Freeport, IL), 41-32 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Clippers (16-4) will now prepare for their match against Milledgeville (Milledgeville, IL). The Missiles enter the Northwest Upstate Illini - South match with a 1-13 record. In their last match, Milledgeville was outscored by Ashton-Franklin Center (Ashton, IL), 56-11, in a league match.
With the defeat, Freeport moves to 7-10 on the year. The Pretzels host Belvidere (Belvidere, IL) to meet the Bucs in a Northern Illinois 10 match on Saturday, January 6. The Bucs enter the match with a record of 9-9. Belvidere lost 64-41 in their recent league match against Guilford (Rockford, IL)
