Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Cheltenham tops Archbishop Ryan
January 6, 2024: Wyncote, PA 19095 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Cheltenham Panthers (Wyncote, PA) and the visiting Archbishop Ryan Raiders and Ragdolls (Philadelphia, PA), saw Cheltenham's basketball squad knock off Archbishop Ryan by a count of 52-37.
With the victory, Cheltenham upgrades its record to 6-6 on the campaign. The Panthers host Wissahickon (Ambler, PA) to play the Trojans in a Suburban One - American challenge on Tuesday, January 9. The Trojans come into the challenge with a record of 2-5. Wissahickon lost 49-22 in their recent league challenge against Upper Moreland (Willow Grove, PA)
Next up, the Raiders and Ragdolls play the Conwell-Egan Catholic Eagles (Fairless Hills, PA) in a Philadelphia Catholic challenge, on Tuesday, January 9. Archbishop Ryan will attempt to upgrade on its 2-8 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 4-5 record after their 80-58 league loss to Archbishop Wood (Warminster, PA).
