California High School Basketball - Huntington Park can't hold off Banning

January 6, 2024: Wilmington, CA 90744

The Banning Pilots basketball team scored 31 points and held the visiting Huntington Park Spartans to 28 in the Pilots non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Pilots now sport a 8-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Carson for a Marine contest on Wednesday, January 10. Banning will battle a Colts team coming off a 49-42 non-league loss to Savanna (Anaheim, CA). The Colts record now stands at 9-8.

The Spartans (3-14) will now prepare for their contest against South Gate (South Gate, CA). The Rams enter the Eastern contest with a 2-6 record. In their last contest, South Gate nudged Narbonne (Harbor City, CA), 38-36, in a non-league contest.
