January 6, 2024: Petersburg, VA 23805 In Saturday's non-league outing, the Petersburg Crimson Wave (Petersburg, VA) basketball squad edged the visiting Booker T. Washington Mighty Bookers (Norfolk, VA), by a count of 37-34.
The Crimson Wave (3-5) will now prepare for their outing against Hopewell (Hopewell, VA). The Blue Devils go into the Central outing with a 10-0 record. In their last outing, Hopewell held off Hermitage (Richmond, VA), 72-56, in a non-league outing.
The Mighty Bookers now hold a 3-4 record. They play next when they travel to Norview for a Eastern outing on Wednesday, January 10. Booker T. Washington will clash with a Pilots squad coming off a 49-32 non-league win over Green Run (Virginia Beach, VA). The Pilots record now stands at 5-4.
