Summit Shasta Black Bears (Daly City, CA) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Branson Bulls (Ross, CA), 53-41 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Summit Shasta upgrades its record to 6-2 on the season. The Black Bears travel to Pacific Bay Christian (Pacifica, CA) to play the Eagles in a Private School - North bout on Monday, January 8. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 2-5. Pacific Bay Christian won 34-27 in their recent league bout against The Nueva School (San Mateo, CA)

In their next game, the Bulls face the Archie Williams Peregrine Falcons (San Anselmo, CA) in a Marin County game, on Tuesday, January 9. Branson will attempt to move on its 5-10 season record. The Peregrine Falcons enter the game with a 5-12 record after their 61-50 non-league win over Alhambra (Martinez, CA).
