Arkansas High School Basketball - Pocahontas overwhelms Calico Rock
January 6, 2024: Pocahontas, AR 72455 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Pocahontas Redskins (Pocahontas, AR) and the visiting Calico Rock Pirates (Calico Rock, AR), saw Pocahontas's basketball squad wallop Calico Rock by a tally of 50-27.
With the victory, Pocahontas improves its record to 9-6 on the campaign. The Redskins travel to Izard County (Brockwell, AR) to confront the Cougars in a non-league challenge on Monday, January 8. The Cougars come into the challenge with a record of 11-5.
Next up, the Pirates confront the Timbo Tigers (Timbo, AR) in a 1A Region 2 challenge, on Tuesday, January 9. Calico Rock will attempt to improve on its 4-16 season record.
