Iowa High School Basketball - Camanche topped by West Liberty
January 6, 2024: Camanche, IA 52730 The West Liberty Comets basketball team scored 49 points and restricted the host Camanche Indians to 33 in the Comets non-league victory on Saturday.
The Comets now sport a 2-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Durant for a River Valley - South contest on Tuesday, January 9. West Liberty will battle a Wildcats team coming off a 48-37 non-league loss to Beckman (Dyersville, IA). The Wildcats record now stands at 4-8.
The Indians (5-7) will now prepare for their contest against Maquoketa (Maquoketa, IA). The Cardinals come into the non-league contest with a 12-2 record. In their last contest, Maquoketa prevailed over Mid-Prairie (Wellman, IA), 73-37, in a non-league contest.
