Iowa High School Basketball - Clinton nips Rockridge
January 6, 2024: Clinton, IA 52732 Clinton River Kings (Clinton, IA) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Rockridge Rockets (Taylor Ridge, IL), 41-36 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Clinton upgrades its record to 2-11 on the season. The River Kings travel to Pleasant Valley (Pleasant Valley, IA) to play the Spartans in a Mississippi bout on Tuesday, January 9. The Spartans go into the bout with a record of 10-3. Pleasant Valley won 60-52 in their recent league bout against Central Clinton (DeWitt, IA)
Next up, the Rockets play the Erie-Prophetstown Panthers (Erie, IL) in a Three Rivers - West bout, on Monday, January 8. Rockridge will attempt to upgrade on its 6-14 season record. The Panthers go into the bout with a 9-8 record after their 48-37 non-league win over Davenport Central (Davenport, IA).
