Oklahoma High School Basketball - Geronimo nips Empire
January 6, 2024: Duncan, OK 73533 Geronimo Blue Jays (Geronimo, OK) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Empire Bulldogs (Duncan, OK), 35-34 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Geronimo upgrades its record to 14-1 on the season. The Blue Jays travel to Ryan (Ryan, OK) to play the Cowboys in a Southern Eight bout on Tuesday, January 9. The Cowboys go into the bout with a record of 10-1. Ryan lost 42-38 in their recent non-league bout against Turner (Burneyville, OK)
Next up, the Bulldogs play the Velma-Alma Comets (Velma, OK) in a Oilfield bout, on Tuesday, January 9. Empire will attempt to upgrade on its 10-2 season record. The Comets go into the bout with a 3-7 record after their 50-48 league loss to Ringling (Ringling, OK).
