Maine High School Basketball - Oceanside overwhelms Erskine Academy
January 6, 2024: Rockland, ME 04841 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Oceanside Mariners (Rockland, ME) and the visiting Erskine Academy Eagles (South China, ME), saw Oceanside's basketball squad wallop Erskine Academy by a count of 73-34.
With the victory, Oceanside upgrades its record to 8-0 on the campaign. The Mariners travel to Leavitt (Turner, ME) to play the Hornets in a B South challenge on Tuesday, January 9. The Hornets come into the challenge with a record of 4-5. Leavitt lost 47-43 in their recent non-league challenge against Belfast (Belfast, ME)
Next up, the Eagles play the Lincoln Academy Eagles (Newcastle, ME) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 9. Erskine Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 3-4 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 6-3 record after their 33-30 non-league loss to Belfast (Belfast, ME).
