Georgia High School Basketball - Mill Creek holds off Hewitt-Trussville
January 6, 2024: Hoschton, GA 30548 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Mill Creek Hawks (Hoschton, GA) and the visiting Hewitt-Trussville Huskies (Trussville, AL), saw Mill Creek's basketball squad hold off Hewitt-Trussville by a tally of 46-45.
With the victory, Mill Creek improves its record to 10-3 on the campaign. The Hawks host Buford (Buford, GA) to confront the Wolves in a AAAAAAA Region 8 challenge on Tuesday, January 9. The Wolves come into the challenge with a record of 12-1. Buford won 79-23 in their recent league challenge against Mountain View (Lawrenceville, GA)
Next up, the Huskies confront the Oak Mountain Eagles (Birmingham, AL) in a 7A Area 6 challenge, on Tuesday, January 9. Hewitt-Trussville will attempt to improve on its 17-5 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 6-16 record after their 38-34 league loss to Spain Park (Hoover, AL).
