Iowa High School Basketball - Keokuk fells Palmyra
January 6, 2024: Keokuk, IA 52632 Keokuk Chiefs (Keokuk, IA) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Palmyra Panthers (Palmyra, MO), 48-40 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Keokuk upgrades its record to 12-1 on the season. The Chiefs host Fort Madison (Fort Madison, IA) to clash with the Bloodhounds in a Southeast bout on Tuesday, January 9. The Bloodhounds go into the bout with a record of 7-4. Fort Madison won 61-31 in their recent non-league bout against Central Lee (Donnellson, IA)
Next up, the Panthers clash with the Kirksville Tigers (Kirksville, MO) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 9. Palmyra will attempt to upgrade on its 9-2 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 6-5 record after their 40-35 non-league loss to Macon (Macon, MO).
