With the victory, Niobrara/Verdigre upgrades its record to 10-3 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Hartington-Newcastle (Hartington, NE) to play the Wildcats in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, January 9. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a record of 8-4. Hartington-Newcastle won 52-19 in their recent non-league challenge against Winside (Winside, NE)
