Utah High School Basketball - Monument Valley overwhelms St. Joseph
January 6, 2024: Ogden, UT 84401 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Monument Valley Cougars (Monument Valley, UT) and the host St. Joseph Jayhawks (Ogden, UT), saw Monument Valley's basketball squad wallop St. Joseph by a tally of 67-30.
With the victory, Monument Valley improves its record to 11-1 on the campaign. The Cougars host Rock Point (Rock Point, AZ) to confront the Cougars in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, January 9. The Cougars come into the challenge with a record of 9-5. Rock Point won 59-38 in their recent league challenge against Red Mesa (Teec Nos Pos, AZ)
Next up, the Jayhawks confront the American Heritage Patriots (American Fork, UT) in a 2A Region 17 challenge, on Tuesday, January 9. St. Joseph will attempt to improve on its 2-7 season record. The Patriots come into the challenge with a 7-6 record after their 52-38 non-league loss to Cottonwood (Salt Lake City, UT).
