January 6, 2024: Lexington, GA 30648 In Saturday's non-league outing, the Oglethorpe County Patriots (Lexington, GA) basketball squad beat the visiting Oconee County Warriors (Watkinsville, GA), by a margin of 53-43.
The Patriots (13-1) will now prepare for their outing against Lakeview Academy (Gainesville, GA). The Lions go into the non-league outing with a 11-1 record. In their last outing, Lakeview Academy was beaten by Athens Christian (Athens, GA), 64-59, in a non-league outing.
The Warriors now own a 7-7 record. They play next when they travel to Hebron Christian for a AAA Region 8 match on Tuesday, January 9. Oconee County will meet a Lions team coming off a 66-57 non-league win over St. Francis (Alpharetta, GA). The Lions record now stands at 12-2.
