January 6, 2024: Platte, SD 57369 The Platte/Geddes Black Panthers basketball team (Platte, SD), dropped 51-35 in Saturday's non-league battle with the visiting West Central Trojans (Hartford, SD)
The Trojans now possess a 2-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Dakota Valley for a non-league battle on Tuesday, January 9. West Central will battle a Panthers team coming off a 70-43 non-league win over Sergeant Bluff-Luton (Sergeant Bluff, IA). The Panthers record now stands at 6-3.
The Black Panthers (3-4) will now prepare for their battle against Mt. Vernon/Plankinton (Mt. Vernon, SD). The Titans come into the A Region 5 battle with a 4-1 record. In their last battle, Mt. Vernon/Plankinton prevailed over Tri-Valley (Colton, SD), 65-50, in a non-league battle.
