New Jersey High School Basketball - Somerville fells Watchung Hills Regional
January 6, 2024: Somerville, NJ 08876 Somerville Pioneers (Somerville, NJ) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Watchung Hills Regional Warriors (Warren, NJ), 47-39 in a league bout.
With the win, Somerville upgrades its record to 8-1 on the season. The Pioneers travel to Bound Brook (Bound Brook, NJ) to play the Crusaders in a Skyland - Mountain bout on Tuesday, January 9. The Crusaders go into the bout with a record of 6-1.
Next up, the Warriors play the South Plainfield Tigers (South Plainfield, NJ) in a non-league bout, on Monday, January 8. Watchung Hills Regional will attempt to upgrade on its 1-8 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 5-3 record after their 47-32 league loss to North Plainfield (North Plainfield, NJ).
