Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Benicia Panthers (Benicia, CA) and the visiting Fairfield Falcons (Fairfield, CA), saw Benicia's basketball squad hold off Fairfield by a tally of 24-22.

With the victory, Benicia improves its record to 2-3 on the campaign. The Panthers host Mt. Diablo (Concord, CA) to confront the Red Devils in a challenge on Tuesday, January 9. The Red Devils come into the challenge with a record of 2-1. Mt. Diablo won 23-18 in their recent league challenge against Alhambra (Martinez, CA)

Next up, the Falcons confront the Vacaville Bulldogs (Vacaville, CA) in a battle, on Wednesday, January 10. Fairfield will attempt to better on its 6-7 season record. The Bulldogs come into the battle with a 5-4 record after their 38-27 non-league win over Fairfield (Fairfield, CA).
