Mississippi High School Soccer - Sumrall held off by Bay
January 6, 2024: Bay St. Louis, MS 39520 The crowd at Saturday's non-league test between the Bay Tigers (Bay St. Louis, MS) and the visiting Sumrall Bobcats (Sumrall, MS), saw Bay's soccer squad get by Sumrall by a margin of 3-2.
The Tigers now sport a 14-0 record. They play next when they host Pass Christian for a 4A Region 8 test on Tuesday, January 9. Bay will meet a Pirates squad coming off a 0-0 non-league St. Martin (Ocean Springs, MS). The Pirates record now stands at 10-3.
With the loss, Sumrall drops to 7-8 on the season. The Bobcats host Purvis (Purvis, MS) to meet the Tornadoes in a non-league test on Tuesday, January 9. The Tornadoes come into the test with a record of 5-9. Purvis lost 6-0 in their recent league test against Forrest County Agricultural (Brooklyn, MS)
