In Monday's non-league contest, the host Hillman Tigers basketball team scored a big 67-33 triumph over the Johannesburg-Lewiston Cardinals.

The Tigers (5-3) will now prepare for their contest against Rogers City (Rogers City, MI). The Hurons go into the North Star contest with a 6-1 record. In their last contest, Rogers City smashed Heston Academy (St. Helen, MI), 47-33, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Cardinals confront the Central Lake Trojans (Central Lake, MI) in a Ski-Valley contest, on Wednesday, January 8. Johannesburg-Lewiston will attempt to better on its 0-6 season record. The Trojans go into the contest with a 1-6 record after their 54-29 non-league loss to Ellsworth (Ellsworth, MI).
