The First Academy Royals (Orlando, FL) supporters left the game satisfied Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the host Oviedo Lions (Oviedo, FL), 52-49 in a non-league match.

With the victory, The First Academy advances its record to 9-2 on the year. The Royals travel to Bishop Moore (Orlando, FL) to face the Hornets in a non-league match on Tuesday, January 7. The Hornets enter the match with a record of 2-13. Bishop Moore lost 57-48 in their recent non-league match against Central Florida Christian Academy (Ocoee, FL)

The Lions now own a 9-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Lake Brantley for a non-league match on Wednesday, January 8. Oviedo will face a Patriots squad coming off a 56-48 non-league win over Atlantic (Port Orange, FL). The Patriots record now stands at 11-5.
