January 6, 2025: El Paso, IL 61738 The Clinton Maroons (Clinton, IL) basketball crushed the host El Paso-Gridley Titans (El Paso, IL), 66-39 in Monday's non-league bout.
The Maroons now possess a 13-5 record. They play next when they host Heyworth for a non-league bout on Friday, January 10. Clinton will play a Hornets team coming off a 52-33 league loss to Deer Creek-Mackinaw (Mackinaw, IL). The Hornets record now stands at 9-7.
With the loss, El Paso-Gridley falls to 5-7 on the campaign. The Titans host Tri-Valley (Downs, IL) to play the Vikings in a Heart Of Illinois bout on Thursday, January 9. The Vikings go into the bout with a record of 13-3. Tri-Valley won 64-32 in their recent non-league bout against Olympia (Stanford, IL)
