In Monday's non-league contest, the visiting East St. John Wildcats basketball team scored a big 54-9 triumph over the West Jefferson Buccaneers.

The Wildcats (11-6) will now prepare for their contest against East Iberville (St. Gabriel, LA). The Tigers go into the non-league contest with a 13-7 record.

In their next game, the Buccaneers battle the Newman Greenies (New Orleans, LA) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, January 9. West Jefferson will attempt to better on its 6-10 season record.
