California High School Basketball - Edgewood triumphant over San Gabriel
January 6, 2025: San Gabriel, CA 91776 The crowd at Monday's non-league challenge between the Edgewood Lions (West Covina, CA) and the host San Gabriel Matadors (San Gabriel, CA), observed Edgewood's basketball team overwhelm San Gabriel by a score of 53-26.
The Lions (6-11) will now prepare for their challenge against Bassett (La Puente, CA). The Olympians come into the Miramonte challenge with a 2-3 record. In their last challenge, Bassett crushed Pomona (Pomona, CA), 50-20, in a league bout.
With the loss, San Gabriel falls to 1-9 on the campaign. The Matadors travel to Schurr (Montebello, CA) to play the Spartans in a Almont bout on Monday, January 13. The Spartans go into the bout with a record of 7-10. Schurr won 51-37 in their recent non-league bout against Bishop Amat (La Puente, CA)
