Rhode Island High School Basketball - Mt. Pleasant bests Cumberland
January 6, 2025: Cumberland, RI 02864 The Mt. Pleasant Kilties basketball team scored 53 points and limited the host Cumberland Clippers to 45 in the Kilties non-league triumph on Monday.
The Kilties now possess a 1-1 record. They play next when they host Woonsocket for a non-league game on Thursday, January 9. Mt. Pleasant will confront a Villa Novans team coming off a 64-33 non-league loss to Chariho (Wood River Junction, RI). The Villa Novans record now stands at 0-4.
With the loss, Cumberland falls to 1-2 on the campaign. The Clippers travel to Bishop Hendricken (Warwick, RI) to confront the Hawks in a non-league game on Thursday, January 9. The Hawks go into the game with a record of 1-0. Bishop Hendricken won 63-39 in their recent non-league game against Central (Providence, RI)
