The Mazama Vikings basketball team scored 39 points and restricted the visiting Cottage Grove Lions to 37 in the Vikings non-league victory on Friday.

The Vikings now sport a 4-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Siuslaw for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 8. Mazama will battle a Vikings team coming off a 45-40 non-league loss to Hidden Valley (Grants Pass, OR). The Vikings record now stands at 6-4.

The Lions (7-3) will now prepare for their contest against Phoenix (Phoenix, OR). The Pirates come into the non-league contest with a 4-3 record. In their last contest, Phoenix was nudged by Marist (Eugene, OR), 74-60, in a non-league contest.
