LeRoy Panthers (LeRoy, IL) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Fieldcrest Knights (Minonk, IL), 43-38 in a league bout.

With the win, LeRoy upgrades its record to 8-3 on the season. The Panthers host Tremont (Tremont, IL) to play the Turks in a Heart of Illinois bout on Tuesday, January 11. The Turks go into the bout with a record of 5-9. Tremont won 60-56 in their recent league bout against Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley (Gibson City, IL)

Next up, the Knights play the Henry-Senachwine Mallards (Henry, IL) in a non-league bout, on Monday, January 10. Fieldcrest will attempt to upgrade on its 1-6 season record. The Mallards go into the bout with a 3-7 record after their 56-42 league loss to Dwight (Dwight, IL).
