Sehome Mariners (Bellingham, WA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Anacortes Seahawks (Anacortes, WA), 41-38 in a league bout.

With the victory, Sehome upgrades its record to 1-3 on the campaign. The Mariners travel to Lakewood (Arlington, WA) to play the Cougars in a 1A/2A/3A Northwest bout on Tuesday, January 11. The Cougars come into the bout with a record of 2-4.

Next up, the Seahawks play the Mount Vernon Bulldogs (Mount Vernon, WA) in a 1A/2A/3A Northwest bout, on Tuesday, January 11. Anacortes will attempt to upgrade on its 1-4 season record. The Bulldogs come into the bout with a 3-3 record after their 48-39 league win over Oak Harbor (Oak Harbor, WA).
