New Jersey High School Basketball - Hopewell Valley Central overwhelmed by Montgomery
January 7, 2022: Skillman, NJ 08559 The Montgomery Cougars basketball team scored 46 points and restricted the visiting Hopewell Valley Central Bulldogs to 23 in the Cougars non-league victory on Friday.
The Cougars now sport a 3-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Ridge for a Skyland - Raritan contest on Tuesday, January 11. Montgomery will battle a Red Devil team coming off a 52-36 non-league win over Elizabeth (Elizabeth, NJ). The Red Devil record now stands at 3-5.
The Bulldogs (4-3) will now prepare for their contest against Trenton Central (Trenton, NJ). The Tornadoes come into the non-league contest with a 1-2 record. In their last contest, Trenton Central triumphed over Northern Burlington (Columbus, NJ), 32-20, in a non-league contest.
