Missouri High School Basketball - Jefferson City tops Waynesville
January 7, 2022: Jefferson City, MO 65101 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Jefferson City Jays (Jefferson City, MO) and the visiting Waynesville Tigers (Waynesville, MO), saw Jefferson City's basketball squad knock off Waynesville by a count of 50-33.
With the victory, Jefferson City upgrades its record to 3-9 on the campaign. The Jays travel to St. Francis Borgia (Washington, MO) to play the Knights in a non-league challenge on Monday, January 10. The Knights come into the challenge with a record of 6-6. St. Francis Borgia lost 38-27 in their recent non-league challenge against Kirkwood (Kirkwood, MO)
Next up, the Tigers play the West Plains Zizzers (West Plains, MO) in a Ozarks challenge, on Monday, January 10. Waynesville will attempt to upgrade on its 2-8 season record. The Zizzers come into the challenge with a 10-3 record after their 45-43 non-league loss to Strafford (Strafford, MO).
