Missouri High School Basketball - Silex fells Monroe City
January 7, 2022: Silex, MO 63377 Silex Owls (Silex, MO) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Monroe City Panthers (Monroe City, MO), 45-33 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Silex upgrades its record to 7-5 on the season. The Owls travel to Mark Twain (Center, MO) to play the Tigers in a Eastern Missouri bout on Tuesday, January 11. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 5-6. Mark Twain lost 43-40 in their recent league bout against Louisiana (Louisiana, MO)
Next up, the Panthers play the Quincy Notre Dame Raiders (Quincy, IL) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 11. Monroe City will attempt to upgrade on its 2-9 season record. The Raiders go into the bout with a 14-1 record after their 73-42 non-league loss to O'Fallon (O'Fallon, IL).
