New Jersey High School Basketball - Westwood nudges Bergenfield
January 7, 2023: Washington Township, NJ 07676 Westwood Cardinals (Washington Township, NJ) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Bergenfield Bears (Bergenfield, NJ), 43-41 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Westwood improves its record to 5-4 on the campaign. The Cardinals travel to Ramsey (Ramsey, NJ) to confront the Rams in a Big North - Patriot challenge on Tuesday, January 10. The Rams come into the challenge with a record of 7-0. Ramsey won 54-51 in their recent non-league challenge against Northern Highlands (Allendale, NJ)
Next up, the Bears confront the Pascack Valley Panthers (Hillsdale, NJ) in a Big North - National challenge, on Tuesday, January 24. Bergenfield will attempt to improve on its 0-5 season record.
