North Carolina High School Basketball - South Granville tops Cardinal Gibbons

January 7, 2023: Creedmoor, NC 27522

South Granville Vikings (Creedmoor, NC) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Cardinal Gibbons Crusaders (Raleigh, NC), 73-64 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, South Granville upgrades its record to 9-4 on the campaign. The Vikings host Vance County (Henderson, NC) to play the Vipers in a 2A/3A Conference 18 bout on Tuesday, January 10. The Vipers come into the bout with a record of 4-8. Vance County lost 55-53 in their recent league bout against Granville Central (Stem, NC)

Next up, the Crusaders play the Leesville Road Pride (Raleigh, NC) in a 4A Conference 28 bout, on Tuesday, January 10. Cardinal Gibbons will attempt to upgrade on its 5-9 season record. The Pride come into the bout with a 9-2 record after their 58-55 league win over Broughton (Raleigh, NC).
