January 7, 2023: DeRidder, LA 70634 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the DeRidder Dragons (DeRidder, LA) and the visiting Loyola College Prep Flyers (Shreveport, LA), saw DeRidder's basketball squad hold off Loyola College Prep by a tally of 61-57.
With the victory, DeRidder improves its record to 2-7 on the campaign. The Dragons host Eunice (Eunice, LA) to confront the Bobcats in a 4A District 3 challenge on Tuesday, January 17. The Bobcats come into the challenge with a record of 5-3.
Next up, the Flyers confront the Minden Crimson Tide (Minden, LA) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 10. Loyola College Prep will attempt to improve on its 8-8 season record.
