The Mayfair Monsoons basketball team (Lakewood, CA), was routed 71-48 in Saturday's non-league battle with the visiting Desert Pines Jaguars (Las Vegas, NV)

The Jaguars now sport a 9-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Faith Lutheran for a 5A Southern battle on Tuesday, January 10. Desert Pines will battle a Crusaders team coming off a 67-59 non-league loss to Spring Valley (Las Vegas, NV). The Crusaders record now stands at 7-7.

The Monsoons (8-10) will now prepare for their match against Paramount (Paramount, CA). The Pirates enter the San Gabriel Valley match with a 15-4 record. In their last match, Paramount was routed by Dominguez (Compton, CA), 50-46, in a league match.
