In Saturday's non-league match, the host First Flight Nighthawks basketball team scored a tight 67-61 triumph over the Raleigh Christian Academy Eagles.

In their next game, the Nighthawks meet the Holmes Aces (Edenton, NC) in a 2A/3A Conference 15 match, on Tuesday, January 10. First Flight will attempt to move on its 5-6 season record. The Aces enter the match with a 7-6 record after their 71-65 league win over Currituck County (Barco, NC).
