January 7, 2023: Floyd, VA 24091 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Floyd County Buffaloes (Floyd, VA) and the visiting Union Bears (Appalachia, VA), saw Floyd County's basketball squad overcome Union by a tally of 61-50.
With the victory, Floyd County improves its record to 8-3 on the campaign. The Buffaloes travel to Radford (Radford, VA) to confront the Bobcats in a Three Rivers challenge on Tuesday, January 10. The Bobcats come into the challenge with a record of 7-1. Radford won 52-46 in their recent non-league challenge against Lord Botetourt (Daleville, VA)
Next up, the Bears confront the Gate City Blue Devils (Gate City, VA) in a Mountain challenge, on Tuesday, January 17. Union will attempt to improve on its 2-4 season record.
