South Dakota High School Basketball - Platte/Geddes tops Freeman Academy/Marion
January 7, 2023: Freeman, SD Platte/Geddes Black Panthers (Platte, SD) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Freeman Academy/Marion (Freeman, SD), 62-52 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Platte/Geddes upgrades its record to 4-0 on the campaign. The Black Panthers travel to Corsica/Stickney (Corsica, SD) to play the Jaguars in a non-league bout on Monday, January 9. The Jaguars come into the bout with a record of 1-4. Corsica/Stickney lost 59-31 in their recent non-league bout against Wagner (Wagner, SD)
Next up, the play the Avon Pirates (Avon, SD) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 10. Freeman Academy/Marion will attempt to upgrade on its 3-2 season record. The Pirates come into the bout with a 0-4 record after their 49-45 non-league loss to Alcester-Hudson (Alcester, SD).
