January 7, 2023: Landisville, PA 17538 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Hempfield Black Knights (Landisville, PA) and the visiting William Penn Bearcats (York, PA), saw Hempfield's basketball squad knock off William Penn by a tally of 58-47.
With the victory, Hempfield improves its record to 6-3 on the campaign. The Black Knights host J.P. McCaskey (Lancaster, PA) to play the Red Tornado in a Lancaster-Lebanon 1 challenge on Tuesday, January 10. The Red Tornado come into the challenge with a record of 6-4. J.P. McCaskey lost 80-59 in their recent non-league challenge against Central York (York, PA)
Next up, the Bearcats play the Spring Grove Rockets (Spring Grove, PA) in a York-Adams 1 challenge, on Tuesday, January 10. William Penn will attempt to improve on its 8-3 season record. The Rockets come into the challenge with a 4-3 record after their 69-57 league loss to Dallastown (Dallastown, PA).
