Florida High School Basketball - IMG Academy Blue can't hold off The Rock
January 7, 2023: Gainesville, FL 32607 The The Rock Lions basketball team scored 72 points and held the visiting IMG Academy Blue Ascenders to 69 in the Lions non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Lions now sport a 14-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Potter's House Christian for a Sunshine Independent contest on Tuesday, January 10. The Rock will battle a Lions team coming off a 88-64 league loss to DME Academy (Daytona Beach, FL). The Lions record now stands at 6-7.
The Ascenders (10-6) will now prepare for their contest against First Baptist Academy (Naples, FL). The Lions enter the non-league contest with a 10-3 record. In their last contest, First Baptist Academy nudged True North Classical Academy (Miami, FL), 73-71, in a non-league contest.
