Lafayette Central Catholic Knights (Lafayette, IN) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Rensselaer Central Bombers (Rensselaer, IN), 75-65 in a league bout.

With the victory, Lafayette Central Catholic upgrades its record to 6-5 on the campaign. The Knights host Benton Central (Oxford, IN) to play the Bison in a Hoosier - West bout on Friday, January 13. The Bison come into the bout with a record of 10-3. Benton Central lost 65-61 in their recent non-league bout against Lebanon (Lebanon, IN)

Next up, the Bombers play the South Newton Rebels (Kentland, IN) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 10. Rensselaer Central will attempt to upgrade on its 6-4 season record. The Rebels come into the bout with a 0-9 record after their 40-22 league loss to North White (Monon, IN).
