The Metea Valley Mustangs basketball team scored 59 points and restricted the visiting Taft Eagles to 57 in the Mustangs non-league victory on Saturday.

The Mustangs now sport a 10-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Oswego for a non-league contest on Wednesday, January 11.

The Eagles (11-6) will now prepare for their contest against Amundsen (Chicago, IL). The Vikings come into the Chicago Public - White North contest with a 9-1 record. In their last contest, Amundsen edged Raby (Chicago, IL), 62-39, in a non-league contest.
