In Saturday's non-league match, the visiting Parkview Panthers basketball team scored a tight 68-61 triumph over the Mount Vernon Mustangs.

In their next game, the Panthers meet the South Gwinnett Comets (Snellville, GA) in a AAAAAAA Region 4 match, on Tuesday, January 10. Parkview will attempt to better on its 9-6 season record. The Comets enter the match with a 11-4 record after their 62-52 non-league win over Cedar Grove (Ellenwood, GA).
