Louisiana High School Basketball - Welsh knocked off by Ville Platte
January 7, 2023: Ville Platte, LA 70586 The Ville Platte Bulldogs basketball team scored 60 points and held the visiting Welsh Greyhounds to 44 in the Bulldogs non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Bulldogs now sport a 9-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Hamilton Christian for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 14. Ville Platte will battle a Warriors team coming off a 64-31 non-league win over Assumption (Napoleonville, LA). The Warriors record now stands at 11-9.
The Greyhounds (10-6) will now prepare for their contest against Grand Lake (Lake Charles, LA). The Hornets enter the 2A District 5 contest with a 1-7 record. In their last contest, Grand Lake was defeated by Bell City (Bell City, LA), 57-50, in a non-league contest.
