California High School Basketball - Palm Desert tops Big Bear
January 7, 2023: Big Bear City, CA 92386 Palm Desert Aztecs (Palm Desert, CA) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Big Bear Bears (Big Bear City, CA), 39-21 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Palm Desert upgrades its record to 6-9 on the campaign. The Aztecs host Rancho Mirage (Rancho Mirage, CA) to play the Rattlers in a Desert Empire bout on Wednesday, January 11. The Rattlers come into the bout with a record of 1-12. Rancho Mirage lost 81-11 in their recent league bout against Xavier Prep (Palm Desert, CA)
Next up, the Bears play the Excelsior Charter Eagles (Victorville, CA) in a Cross Valley bout, on Tuesday, January 10. Big Bear will attempt to upgrade on its 4-8 season record. The Eagles come into the bout with a 0-7 record after their 75-5 league loss to Riverside Prep (Oro Grande, CA).
