Minnesota High School Basketball - Canby nips Murray County Central
January 7, 2023: Canby, MN 56220 Fans at Saturday's league challenge between the Canby Lancers (Canby, MN) and the visiting Murray County Central Rebels (Slayton, MN), saw Canby's basketball squad hold off Murray County Central by a count of 44-38.
With the victory, Canby upgrades its record to 4-5 on the campaign. The Lancers travel to Renville County West (Renville, MN) to encounter the Jaguars in a non-league test on Monday, January 9. The Jaguars go into the test with a record of 5-6. Renville County West won 63-51 in their recent non-league test against Red Rock Central (Lamberton, MN)
The Rebels now own a 3-6 record. They play next when they travel to Jackson County Central for a non-league test on Tuesday, January 10. Murray County Central will encounter a Huskies squad coming off a 50-45 league win over Redwood Valley (Redwood Falls, MN). The Huskies record now stands at 5-3.
