In Saturday's non-league match, the visiting Sage Ridge Scorpions basketball team scored a good 36-25 triumph over the Coral Academy of Science - Reno Falcons.

In their next game, the Scorpions meet the South Tahoe Vikings (South Lake Tahoe, CA) in a non-league match, on Tuesday, January 10. Sage Ridge will attempt to move on its 2-8 season record. The Vikings enter the match with a 4-10 record after their 41-40 league win over North Valleys (Reno, NV).

With the defeat, Coral Academy of Science - Reno moves to 1-6 on the year. The Falcons host Pershing County (Lovelock, NV) to meet the Mustangs in a 2A Northern match on Tuesday, January 10. The Mustangs enter the match with a record of 8-3. Pershing County lost 32-30 in their recent league match against North Tahoe (Tahoe City, CA)
