January 7, 2023: Damascus, OR 97089 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Damascus Christian Eagles (Damascus, OR) and the visiting Echo Cougars (Echo, OR), saw Damascus Christian's basketball squad wallop Echo by a tally of 42-20.
With the victory, Damascus Christian improves its record to 8-1 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Open Door Christian Academy (Troutdale, OR) to play the Huskies in a 1A Valley 10 challenge on Tuesday, January 10. The Huskies come into the challenge with a record of 3-3. Open Door Christian Academy lost 41-5 in their recent league challenge against Grand View Christian Academy (Beavercreek, OR)
Next up, the Cougars play the Nixyaawii Community Eagles (Pendleton, OR) in a 1A Old Oregon challenge, on Friday, January 13. Echo will attempt to improve on its 6-5 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 10-2 record after their 64-51 non-league win over Burns (Burns, OR).
