St. Joseph's Academy Angels (St. Louis, MO) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Edwardsville Tigers (Edwardsville, IL), 55-52 in a non-league bout.

With the win, St. Joseph's Academy upgrades its record to 2-1 on the season. The Angels host Marquette (Chesterfield, MO) to play the Mustangs in a non-league bout on Thursday, January 12. The Mustangs go into the bout with a record of 2-1.

Next up, the Tigers play the Belleville West Maroons (Belleville, IL) in a Southwestern bout, on Tuesday, January 10. Edwardsville will attempt to upgrade on its 5-7 season record.
